教学流程:

Step I Lead-in

What is the video about?

 The 亚马逊 Rain Forest. It’s abundance is a ________ and a _______. The author _____ ____ everyone to __________ it.

Step II Skimming

Task 1 Styles of the writing

     A. Narration      B. Argumentation      C. Exposition

Task 2 Divide the passage into several parts and find the main idea of each part.     

  Why does the writer use so many details in the first paragraph?

  What information can you learn in the second paragraph? 

  Where does the writer tell you how the rain forest can be saved?

  What is new in the fifth paragraph? What is its purpose?

  How does the writer conclude?

Structure of the passage.

Part 1 (Para.1) People are becoming concerned about the rain forest. 

Part 2 (Para.2)The destruction of the rain forest and its bad effects.

Part 3(Para.3-4) Ways to save the rain forest.

Part 4 (Para.5) The bad results of the alternative.
